Description
Part of the ongoing Geometry of Shadows series, this work captures the fleeting intersection of architecture, history, and human presence. The composition is dominated by bold diagonals of light and shadow, bisected by the ochre wall of Florence. At its center, a lone figure moves past a small blue recess, one of the city’s centuries-old buchette del vino, or wine windows, once used to pass flasks of Chianti directly to locals.
This juxtaposition of stark geometry and intimate history transforms the frame into more than a study of light. It is a meditation on how daily life intersects with the remnants of the past, and how silence itself can be architectural.
Printed on museum-quality matte paper, this edition preserves the deep contrasts and delicate tonal shifts that define the work.
